Torterra is a fourth generation Grass and Ground Pokémon.

Torterra is a large quadruped Pokémon that looks like a turtle, with a large shell that covers its back, on top of which is an oak tree with a piece of earth at its feet, as well as three triangular outgrowths that look like menhirs. A white border surrounds the shell, forming a rhombus on Torterra's forehead. Its body appears to be divided in two, with the upper half green and the lower half brown. Its mouth is toothed. It has a dark brown beak at the end of its snout, giving it the appearance of a snapping turtle. Its lower jaw is green with large spikes protruding from its cheeks. Its small red eyes are surrounded by black. Its legs are stubby and each has four toes that look like stones: three in front and one in the back.
